Rajwinder Deu MD joined the University of Maryland Sports Medicine Department in June 2022 as an Associate Team Physician.
Prior to coming to Maryland, Dr. Deu spent 9 years as faculty in the Department of Orthopaedics at Johns Hopkins University and was an Associate Team Physician for Johns Hopkins athletics. A native of Bowie, MD, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland College Park in 1997, his Doctorate in Medicine from University of Maryland Baltimore in 2001, completed a Family Medicine Residency at University of Michigan in 2004, and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in 2005.
He is a member and Fellow of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine (AMSSM).
