Jessica Shumway was named Co-Head Coach of Maryland Cheerleading in July 2023. She served as an associate head coach with the Maryland cheer team from 2017-23. Prior to that, she was an assistant coach with the squad from 2008-12. She has also served as the Mascot Director.
Jessica Shumway has served as the Head Coach of Maryland Cheerleading since July 2023, taking over all duties starting with the 2024-25 athletic season, after serving in a co-head coach role for the 23-24 season. She served as an associate head coach with the Maryland cheer team from 2017-23. Prior to that, she was an assistant coach with the squad from 2008-12. She has also served as the Mascot Director.
She was a cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens from 2012-16 after cheering with the Terps from 2004-06.
She has worked in the banking industry since 2002. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 2007. She and her husband Josh live in Pasadena, Maryland.
