Mike Farrell joined the Maryland athletics department as the Associate Athletic Director for Broadcasting & Production in March 2019. He enters his ninth school year in that role in 2026-27.
Prior to working for Maryland, Farrell spent more than two years at NBC Sports Washington. His extensive work at NBC Sports Washington includes producing original video content covering DC pro sports teams, and the culture of sports in the DC metro area.
Farrell also has extensive experience working in collegiate athletics, including more than eight years in administrative roles at the University of South Florida and Embry-Riddle that included stints in creative, digital, and marketing.
Farrell is a former Division I student-athlete and spent two years coaching Division I basketball at Lafayette College.
