Nick Lofaro currently serves as the Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Partnerships, bringing more than a decade of experience in brand development, corporate partnerships, and revenue strategy within the collegiate sports landscape.In this role, he leads the department’s efforts to cultivate and expand innovative, high-impact partnerships that align with the values and vision of the university and its athletic programs.
Lofaro previously served as Associate AD for Digital Media & Creative Services from 2013 to 2020, Associate Athletic Director for Marketing & Sponsor Services at Maryland from 2011 to 2013, Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Sponsor Services from 2010 to 2011 and Director of Marketing from 2007 to 2010. During this time, Lofaro oversaw the operations of the marketing and sponsor services department. Under his leadership, Maryland set several all-time revenue records for football and basketball ticket sales and gained national recognition by winning 11 NACMA Awards.
Lofaro joined the Terps in 2005 as an Assistant Director of Marketing before being promoted to Associate Director of Marketing in 2006.
Lofaro graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 2003 with a bachelor of science in Sports Management before remaining at East Stroudsburg to obtain his master’s degree in Sports Management in 2005. He is a native of Lawton, PA and lives in Prince Georges County with his wife and two children.
