Rien Hachmann

Rien Hachmann joined the University of Maryland as an Athletic Academic Counselor for the
football team in November 2025.
Previously, she served as the Athletic Academic Advisor for Football at Stony Brook University
for five years. During her time there, she held several roles, including Tutor Coordinator and
Academic Success Coach Coordinator. While working with student-athletes, she also served as
an instructor for transfer student and freshman seminar courses. Hachmann earned her
Master's degree in Higher Education Administration in May 2020.
Hachmann is a 2018 graduate of Towson University, where she earned a B.S. in Mass
Communication and was a member of the Towson Women's Rugby Team. The team won the
Capital Women's Collegiate Rugby Championship in 2016.
She is the daughter of Matthew and Kimberly Hachmann and has two younger brothers, John
and Justin. Hachmann currently resides in Laurel, Maryland.
