Spencer Ferguson was hired in 2022 as an Olympic Sports Nutrition Fellow. After the conclusion of his fellowship, Spencer joined the staff as an Assistant Olympic Sports Dietitian.
In his role, Spencer serves as a nutrition resource for athletes, coaches, and staff, working primarily with Men's and Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, and Men's Golf.
Spencer is a Virginia native and holds 2 degrees from Virginia Tech; a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise earned in 2019, and a Master's of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics earned in 2022. Spencer is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
