
Terps Drop Narrow Decision to Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - DeMya Walker had 22 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks Friday night as No. 22 Virginia beat Maryland 69-63.
Walker scored 14 points after halftime, when Virginia (9-4, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) three times opened a 10-point lead but couldn't quite put away the Terrapins away.
Maryland was led by Deedee Warley with 22 points and Branka Bogunovic with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Tiffany Brown also had 11 rebounds.
Walker finished 8-for-13 from the field.
Erin Stovall added 14 points and Svetlana Volnaya 10 for the Cavaliers.
