MARYLAND: Maryland enters tonight's game with an overall record of 13-9 and a conference mark of 6-6. Tonight's contest marks the second of four consecutive games against a ranked opponent for the Terps. Maryland lost to 13th-ranked Virginia, 47-45, last Monday and the Terps travel to Tobacco Road for games against No. 11 NC State and No. 5 North Carolina next week. Maryland has won two of its last three games against ranked opponents and four of its last six overall.
CLEMSON: Clemson enters tonight's game with an overall record of 18-6 and a conference mark of 9-4. The Tigers defeated Wofford, 102-55, Tuesday night for their second consecutive victory which includes a 68-58 overtime win against then-ninth ranked NC State. Amy Geren leads the Tigers in scoring with an average of 14.5 points per game and Itoro Umoh averages 11.1 points per game. Kerri Thomas, averaging 5.0 boards per game, leads the team in rebounds. Clemson is coached by Jim Davis, who is in his 11th season with the Tigers and owns a career mark of 224-108.
