
Twellman, Downing Hit College Soccer Online's Preseason All-American Team

COLLEGE PARK, Md.-- - 1998 National Freshman of the Year Taylor Twellman (St Louis, Mo.) was Maryland's lone pick on College Soccer Online's Preseason All-American First-Team. Fellow sophomore Nick Downing (Redmond, Wash.) was the only other Terrapin to make the list, getting a second-team nod.
Four UCLA Bruins were named to the College Soccer Online 1999 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Preseason All-America teams. Three Bruins -- defender Carlos Bocanegra and midfielders Pete Vagenas and Sasha Victorine -- were named to the first team, while goalkeeper Nick Rimando received second team honors. Defending national champion Indiana had the second-highest number of players on the CSO All-America teams, with two players earning first team accolades, and a third player named to the second team.
