
Maryland Falls To No. 14 Duke

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Georgia Schweitzer scored 25 points as No. 14 Duke beat Maryland 79-61 on Monday.
The junior forward was 8-of-12 from the field, including a 4-for-8 performance from 3-point range, and added nine rebounds.
Duke (13-1, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) led 60-49 with about nine minutes remaining when Maryland scored seven straight points to cut the lead to 60-56.
The Blue Devils, however, scored the next 11 points, with Peppi Browne - who finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds - scoring five in that span. Krista Gingrich added 15 for Duke.
Duke outscored Maryland 19-5 over the final seven minutes. After shooting 13-of-27 in the first half, Maryland (8-4, 0-2) was 12-of-36 in the second half.
Marche Strickland led the Terrapins with 14 points.
