Coach Vanderlinden on the improvement of Wake Forest the past few games:
"The last couple of weeks offensively Wake Forest has become a much improved football team. They put 375 yards on Vanderbilt and then last week against Georgia Tech, they put up 451 yards up at Georgia Tech."
Coach Vanderlinden on Wake's diverse offense:
"They are playing two different quarterbacks and two different styles. They do everything from power football and a complete option attack to four wide receivers and throwing the ball. They do the different attacks with different quarterbacks so it is a big preparation challenge. I think that is one of the reasons why they are moving the ball as well as they are of late."
Coach Vanderlinden on the importance of the game for Maryland and Wake Forest:
"I think both teams will be excited to take a step forward. I think Jim always has his team ready to play so I know we will have to play well to win. With all of our injuries, I am not overlooking anything."
Coach Vanderlinden on the improvement of the Terps' offensive line:
"They have improved considerably and I think we will continue to. The only senior we have is Tim Howard and those guys are really starting to come on and play better."
Coach Vanderlinden on a few bright spots from the Clemson game:
"There isn't any consolation in not winning a game, however I was encouraged in the Clemson game with the way we competed, particularly on defense. We stopped Clemson on seven drives but you can't turn the ball over three times against most people and certainly not against a top-four team in the country.
