ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - The Denver Broncos announced on Tuesday that the team has signed offensive tackle John Feugill to their practice squad. To make room for Feugill on the roster, the team has released tackle Chase Raynock from the practice squad.
Feugill (6-7, 309 lbs.) was a rookie free agent with Jacksonville this year after starting three years at the University of Maryland. He started the last 33 games of his career. He played his high school ball at Methuen (Mass.) HS and is originally from Lawrence, Mass. He was born on Dec. 20, 1975.
Feugill was a free agent signee of the Arizona Cardinals following the 1998 college season and the 1999 NFL Draft, but a late-season injury forced him to miss the 1999 season. He signed with the Jaguars during fall camp this season.
At Maryland, he started during the 1996, 1997 and 1998 seasons and, as a senior, helped guide the nation's sixth-most improved rushing offense. He was an honorable mention All-ACC selection after the 1998 campaign.
