Women's Cross Country Places Third In Final Meet

BRONX, N.Y. - Senior Kelly Crowley (Levittown, Pa.) led the University of Maryland women's cross country team to a third place finish at the Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association of America (IC4A) / Eastern Collegiate Athletic Association (ECAC) cross country championships today. The team completed their final meet of the season behind Princeton who took first place and Seton Hall who claimed second. A total of 24 teams competed.
Crowley finished the 5,000 meter course at Van Cortlandt Park in 18:57.10. Today marks Crowley's first time as Maryland's leading runner this season. Senior Meghan White (Cockeysville, N.Y.), who has been Maryland's top finisher in every other meet this season placed 13th in 19:03.80.
Freshman Mike Prada (Fulton, Md.) represented the men's team in the 5-mile race and finished in 51st place with a time of 27:12.50. Michael Nehr of Marist University placed first in 25:58.70, leading his team to first place. Colgate University placed second and Monmouth University placed third.
Today's meet concludes the season for both Maryland teams.
