2001 Football Recruiting Celebration Slated For Feb. 7

February 7, 2001 marks the National Letter of Intent Signing Day for football. This day marks the "official" start of the 2001 season, the first of Ralph Friedgen's tenure as head football coach.
We are very excited about this year's class. We have received commitments from a group of young men who were courted by a number of the top programs in the country. These outstanding young athletes will help us continue the progress towards our goal of becoming ACC champions.
We would like to invite all Terp football fans to attend an informal celebration of the recruiting season. This will take place on Wednesday, February 7th in the Colony Ballroom of the Student Union, which is located on the second floor. A cash bar and light appetizers will be available from 5-6 p.m., and the official announcement of the signing class will follow at 6 p.m. In addition, we will be showing video highlights of each prospect.
