Date and Site: The 2000 Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestling Championship will be hosted by the University of Maryland at Cole Field House in College Park, Md. on March 4, 2000.

MARCH 3 - FRIDAY

6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.	Seeding Meeting (Tyser Tower)
7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.	Coaches/Officials Dinner (Tyser Tower)

MARCH 4 - SATURDAY 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Open Mats and Scales 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Skin checks (Cole Wrestling Room) 10:00 a.m. Weigh-in (Cole Wrestling Room)

Session I: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. First Round Matches 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Semifinals 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Semifinals consolation

Session II: 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Consolation Finals 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Finals 9:00 p.m. - Coaches Meeting for Wild Cards (Cole Basketball Lounge) Dinner for Student-Athletes (Cole Press Room)

Admission: There will be no admission charge for the Championship.

Individual Match Scoring Individual match points will be awarded as follows:
Takedown	 2 points
Escape		 1 point
Reversal	 2 points
Near Fall	 2 or 3 points
Time Advantage	 1 point (max. one full minute)

Awards Ceremony: The awards ceremony will take place as soon as possible after the championship finals.


The following awards will be presented:
1.  Championship team plaque	(16 individual plaques for winning team members)
2.  Plaque for each weight class - Champion, second place and third place.
3.  Plague to the Most Valuable Wrestler (Selected by a vote of head coaches)
