? Maryland remains undefeated at 5-0 at Ludwig Field in NCAA quarterfinals after holding off the Hoyas for the one-goal victory.
? Junior attack Jen Adams tied or topped every Maryland single-season record during the Terps 7-6 win on Sunday. She now has 71 goals this season, tying her own record for goals in a season, which she set in 1999. Adams' 119 points resets her own 1999 record of 117 for single-season points at Maryland. The only single-season list that Adams did not top before the start of the 2000 season was career assists. With her two feeds Sunday, she claimed a share of that top spot with Terp legend Kelly Amonte at 48 assists.
? Both Jen Adams and Quinn Carney continued their NCAA scoring streaks Sunday against Georgetown. Adams led the Terps with three goals and two assists, with Carney adding a goal. The juniors have each scored at least one point in all seven NCAA games they have participated in.
? Both Jen Adams and Quinn Carney continued their scoring streaks through the Georgetown game. Adams' streak is at 50 games now, with Carney right behind her at 49. Adams also has a goal-scoring streak of 31 games after her three-goal performance against the Hoyas. Senior Christie Jenkins' saw her own scoring streak stop at 52 games, after being held scoreless in the quarterfinal match-up.
? The Georgetown game was the second overtime contest this season for the Terps, and signaled Maryland's first overtime win. Maryland's first overtime contest was March 5 at North Carolina. The Terps lost 14-13 to the Tar Heels in three overtimes in the opening weekend of the season for both teams.
? Maryland will advance to play Loyola Friday, May 19 in Trenton, N.J., at the College of New Jersey. The Terps' semifinal game will start at 6 p.m., with semifinal No. 2 between Princeton and James Madison beginning at 8 p.m.
? Of the four ACC teams, all in action today, Maryland was the only ACC team to advance to the National Collegiate semifinals next weekend. Duke lost a double overtime heartbreaker 9-8 to No. 2 seed Princeton at Princeton, North Carolina was upset by Loyola 7-5 in Chapel Hill, and James Madison defeated Virginia 12-5 in Harrisonburg.
? Freshman Sonia Judd scored the first game-winner of her career at Maryland to lift the Terps to the 7-6 victory. It was on that play that Jen Adams tied the single-season mark for assists. The Australian connection was the second of the day, and a returned favor from Adams who scored on a pass from Judd earlier in the second half.
