The match-ups for the 2000 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship weekend in College Park have been set.
The Division I semifinals will feature the top four seeds from this year's tournament. No. 1 Syracuse, a 17-13 winner over Georgetown in the quarterfinals will face No. 4 Johns Hopkins, a 15-11 winner over Notre Dame in the quarters, in the first game on Saturday, May 27 at Noon.
The second game will pit No. 2 Virginia, a 10-9 winner over Duke in the quarterfinals, against No. 3 Princeton, a 10-7 victor over Maryland in the quarters. The game will begin 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
Both Division I semifinals will be aired live on ESPN2.
The Division III championship game, to be played on Sunday, May 28 at Noon in Byrd Stadium, will be a rematch of the 1999 title game. Salisbury State, a 10-9 winner over Washington & Lee in the semifinals, will face Middlebury, which upset Nazareth 13-6 in the semifinals.
The Division II title game will pit North representative C.W. Post (8-3) against South representative Limestone (12-2) at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 28. The game will take place on Ludwig Field.
The weekend will conclude with the Division I semifinal winners from Saturday meeting in the Division I championship game on Monday morning at 10:55 a.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN.
