
Cross Country Women Place Second At Navy Fall Classic

Annapolis, Md. - Junior Meghan White (Cockeysville, Md.) finished in fourth place to lead the Maryland women's cross country team to a second place finish at the Navy Fall Classic today.
White finished the 5.3 K meter run with a time of 20:44.30. Not far behind was senior Kelly Crowley (Levittown, Pa.) coming in eighth with a time of 21:24.40. Navy senior Melissa Foon won the race with a time of 20:03.80
In the men's 5 mile, Maryland finished in fifth place with 126 points. Sophomore Mike Prada (Fulton, Md.) was the Terps' high finisher, placing 14th with a time of 26:02.00. Freshman Francis Ciganek (Chestertown Md.) also led Maryland, earning a time of 27:03.00 to finish 25th. Justin Mikolay of Navy finished first with a time of 25:10.00.
The Terps will be in action once again next Saturday, September 16 at the ACC Preview. The meet will be held in Raleigh, N.C. at North Carolina State.
