COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland fans and college football fans can take part in a live chat session on Wednesday night with Terrapin tailback and Heisman Trophy hopeful LaMont Jordan. Jordan, the NCAA's active career rushing leader, chats on ESPN.com on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Jordan, a senior, enters the 2000 campaign following a school-record 306-yard effort last November against Virginia, and a 1,632-yard season which was the best ever by an Atlantic Coast Conference junior. Jordan's 3,227 career yards are just 90 yards shy of the Terps' school record -- 3,317 yards by Charlie Wysocki from 1978-81.
The Forestville, Md., native can break the Terps' all-time rushing mark with just 91 yards in Maryland's season opener on Saturday against Temple.
