TWO-GAME WEEK STARTS WITH PRINCETON AT HOME

* Wednesday's game against Princeton marks only the second time in program history that the Terps and Tigers have met.Maryland and Princeton tied 2-2 in the only other meeting between the two universities in 1994.

* Princeton enters Wednesday's game undefeated with a 3-0-2 record. The Tigers have notched wins against Monmouth (5-0), Fairleigh Dickinson (1-0) and Dartmouth (3-0) and ties against Rutgers (1-1) and Columbia (0-0). Mike Nugent leads the Tigers offensively with nine points (4g, 1a). Adrian Melville has seven points (3g, 1a) and Matt Behncke has six points (2g, 2a). Jason White has been in goal all season for Princeton and has a 0.18 gaa and a .971 save percentage.

* Sasho Cirovski is the only Maryland head coach to take on the Tigers. No current Terps have ever played against Princeton.

* Maryland has two Jersey boys on the roster this season that could see some familiar faces from their home state, redshirt-senior Kevin Schmidt and freshman Wes Kirk. Schmidt, a graduate of the Pingry School, will run into fellow alum on the opposite sideline in Tiger midfielder Gianfranco Tripicchio. Princeton has three other New Jersey-natives on the team.

TERPS AND TAR HEELS SQUARE OFF
* The Tar Heels face William & Mary in their mid-week game on Tuesday, Oct. 2, before meeting the Terps on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. at Fetzer Field. The Heels and Tribe face-off at the SportsPlex in Virginia Beach, Va.

* North Carolina is 6-2 so far with losses to Saint Louis (2-1) and Virginia (2-0), both when they were ranked sixth in the nation. The Tar Heels have beaten East Carolina (8-1), Appalachian State (3-0), Cincinnati (2-1), UNC-Greensboro (2-1), UNC-Asheville (3-0) and Duke (1-0).

* Shawn McGinty (4g-1a-9p) and Marcus Story (3g-3a-9p) are tops for the Heels in points. David Testo and Matt Crawford each have seven points (3g, 1a each).

SCHEDULE CHANGES
Maryland has three schedule changes remaining due to conflicts and postponements, two of which are conference match-ups. All are home contests to be held at Ludwig Field. Changes start with the Holy Cross game, previously the Terps' final regular season home contest scheduled for Nov. 9, which has been moved to Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. The Nov. 2 game against conference-rival Virginia has now been moved to Nov. 4 at 1 p.m. The final rescheduled game is the NC State game that was to be played on Sept. 16. That game will now be played at 1 p.m. on Nov. 11 and will be the Terps' final home game of the regular season.
