CLEMSON, S.C. - Senior Monique Berry (Andover, Conn.) led the Maryland women's cross country team to an eighth place finish over host Clemson at the ACC Championships Saturday. The meet marks the Terrapins' highest conference championship finish since 1998.
Berry completed the 6K course in 24:02.5. Sophomore Lorna Dorland (Rockland, Maine) and junior Kristin Lubas (York, Pa.) finished next for Maryland with times of 24:04.4 and 24:09.1, respectively.
For the Maryland men, freshman Matt Adami (Mount Airy, Md.) stepped up for the Terps and led the team to a ninth place finish by completing the 8,000 meter course in 26:33.5. Adami is the first freshman on the Maryland team to finish first for the Terps this season. Junior Mike Prada (Fulton, Md.) finished next for Maryland, completing the course in 26:39.0.
The Maryland cross country teams will run their final race of the season on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the ECAC/IC4A Championships in New York, N.Y.
