Junior Mike Prada (Fulton, Md.) was the first Maryland men's cross country runner to complete the 10K course at the 2001 NCAA District Cross Country Championships at Lehigh University Saturday. Prada completed the race in 32:57.49 to place 96th.
The other runners representing Maryland were freshman Matt Adami (Mount Airy, Md.) and sophomore Francis Ciganek (Chestertown, Md.). Adami finished in 104th place with a time of 33:02.90 and Ciganek completed the race in 33:03.47 to finish in 105th place.
Prada, Adami and Ciganek will compete with the rest of their team for the final meet of Maryland's season on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the ECAC/IC4A Championships in New York. The women's cross country team will also compete in the meet.
