A nine-point week for A.J. Herrera (Albuquerque, N.M.) earned the redshirt sophomore ACC men's soccer player of the week honors. Herrera scored two goals and two assists in the Terps' 10-0 defeat of Manhattan on Wednesday night. The Terrapin forward followed it up with a three-point performance against NC State in the Terps' first ACC win, a 3-0 shutout of the Wolfpack, on Sunday. Herrera's goal against the Pack was the game-winner.
Herrera is the Terps' second-leading scorer this season with eight goals and five assists.
Maryland heads to the ACC tournament this weekend where they will meet host Clemson on Thursday night, Nov. 15, at 8 p.m. Tournament action continues on Friday with the ACC Championship being decided on Sunday.
