
4 Terps Earn All-America Honors From Football News

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Four Terrapins -- linebacker E.J. Henderson, tailback Bruce Perry, punter Brooks Barnard and center Melvin Fowler Jr. -- have been named All-Americans by Football News, the publication has announced.
Henderson, one of three finalists for the Butkus Award as the nation's top linebacker, was accorded first team honors after totaling 150 tackles and a school-record 28 TFL's in 2001.
Perry, the ACC's rushing leader (1,242 yards) and Barnard, who ranks third nationally in punting average (44.5), both were named to the second team.
Fowler, who anchored an offensive line for the highest-scoring team in school history, was named to the third team.
