Head Coach Ralph Friedgen:
On Saturday's practice:
"We had a good practice. It was a good crisp practice. I thought we executed better on both sides of the ball. Tomorrow we will probably have a similar type practice, but shorter."
On the health of Bruce Perry, who returned to practice after missing Friday with a strained abdominal muscle:
"I think Bruce was full speed in today's practice. I figured he'd be back in practice and he did well. We have some other players with some nicks, but I think that will clear itself up as the week goes on."
Updating the other injuries:
"Todd Wike (right foot contusion) didn't practice. Hopefully, he will practice on Sunday. Jason Crawford turned an ankle and he's limping around, but I think he'll be OK. Hopefully, we will get Tony Jackson back (from his ankle sprain) to full speed. Lou Lombardo (infection in leg) went full speed so he's fine."
Quarterback Shaun Hill
On Saturday's practice:
"It was another pretty good practice for us, which is a good sign for this part of the season. This is when you want to be playing your best football and I think we are doing that right now. The most important thing is that we have been able to separate the fun from the business on the field. When we get out here we are focused and are working hard."
On his first four days in Miami:
"I am enjoying it. The heat is kind of brutal at practice, we are not used to it, if it was August we would be more used to it, but we have been getting the cold stuff in November and December up North. The heat has taken a toll, but by gametime, we should be used to it."
Center Melvin Fowler
On Saturday's practice:
"Practice went very well today. I thought both sides of the ball got after each other really good. Espcially and particularly the offensive and defensive lines, I think we are getting better and better each day. We are going to be ready.
On the weather adjustment for linemen:
"I think it's better for us to be in this weather right now and not have to worry about the cold. We are able to play loose. Whenever you can play in beautiful weather like this it is a plus.
On the overall Orange Bowl experience:
"I am definitely having a good time, but I am staying focused. The main thing is that we are on a business trip and we are here for one thing to win the Orange Bowl. We are staying focused and having a good time in moderation."
Wide Receiver Guilian Gary
On Saturday's practice:
"We started out kind of slow, but coach really got into us and made sure that things went right. Once that happened everyone picked it up and responded very well.
After four days in Miami:
"We have gotten adjusted to the atmosphere and are ready to play this game. We have been down here for a while and practices have been good. I can't wait to get the practices done and get the game going."
