
Free Admission To All Athletic Events On Maryland Day

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Maryland Day -- the university's annual open house which is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors to campus on Saturday -- will feature of variety of athletic events sure to satisfy even the most ardent fan.
One of the featured events involving Terp teams will be the annual spring football game, which will get underway at 4 p.m. in Byrd Stadium. The intrasquad game will be preceded at 3 p.m. by a Terrapin Fan Fest, featuring an autograph session by the football team, inflatable games, and appearances by characters from Six Flags America. Also before the game, authentic Terrapin football helmets from the 2000 season will be on sale in the player autograph session area. The black helmets from last year's season will be sold for $50 each, cash or check only. Following the game, fans can purchase food and beverages at the post-game picnic on the Terps' practice field.
Admission is free to all athletic events on Maryland Day.
