Terps' Men's Soccer Opens 2001 Preseason

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland men's soccer team opened the 2001 preseason today with meetings, physicals and overall orientation. The team arrived on Aug. 13 and moved into the temporary dorm that they will use for most of preseason training. This morning, Aug. 14, it was time for the first team meeting of the year and physical examinations for team members. The Terps will also undergo some physical testing in the afternoon before the first day of training on Wednesday, Aug. 15.
The Terps open the exhibition season on Aug 19 at Georgetown at noon and continue against Richmond on Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field. Maryland begins the regular season on Aug. 31 at the Virginia/Coca-Cola Classic Tournament against UCLA. That game begins at 5 p.m.
