As National Football League training camps continue apace in preparation for the 2001 season which gets underway in early September, University of Maryland's connection to the NFL continues to grow.
Current rosters as of Aug. 19 show a total of 22 former Terrapins, including recent second-round 2001 draft choices LaMont Jordan (New York Jets) and Kris Jenkins (Carolina Panthers).
Quarterback Neil O'Donnell (Tennessee Titans), a third-round NFL draft choice in 1990, is the former Terp with the most years of NFL service among active players.
