Terps' Sumed Ibrahim Earns Soccer America Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland redshirt sophomore Sumed Ibrahim (Tamale, Ghana) has been named to the Soccer America Team of the Week for the week ending Sept. 9, 2001. Sumed earned the honor after netting his first career hat trick against American on Sept. 9 in the final game of the Maryland/FILA Classic.

Sumed leads the Terps after four games with three goals and three assists for nine points. He is also the conference's leader in scoring average with 2.25 ppg.

Maryland's next game will be Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. when they host Loyola at Ludwig Field.
