Terps Find A Gem In Josh Allen

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Freshman running back Josh Allen, the ACC's Rookie of the Week for his two-touchdown, 116-yard rushing performance in an Oct. 5 victory at West Virginia, has made a quick rise up the Maryland depth chart since fall camp opened in early August.
Allen's efforts the past few weeks, along with those of senior Chris Downs, have helped the Terps offset the loss of junior tailback Bruce Perry, who has missed all of the 2002 campaign with a torn groin muscle.
