COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
"Breakfast with Fridge," the regular morning meeting between Maryland's head football coach and fans of his team, will continue this week as the Terrapins await Atlantic Coast Conference foe Georgia Tech. Please see the parking note at the bottom of this release.
However, this week's version of "Breakfast with Fridge" will be served up two days earlier than normal -- on Wednesday -- because of the special ESPN Thursday night matchup between the Terps and Yellow Jackets. As usual, the event will take place at the Marriott Inn & Conference Center on the university campus (Route 193 and Adelphi Road.
Doors open at 7:15 a.m., with the coach beginning his address at 7:30 a.m.
The event, featuring a complimentary continental breakfast, is free of charge.
The Marriott Inn & Conference Center is located at 3501 University Blvd. East, on the corner of Adelphi Road and University Blvd. Parking is available at the Conference Center Parking Garage. If you have any questions, contact Jim Diercksen at 301.314.7071 or the Marriott Inn & Conference Center at 301.985.7300.
Note: The Methodist Church across the street from Lot 1 has generously offered its parking area. A fee of $2.00 will be collected from each car entering the lot. This will be staffed by MGN volunteers. Half of the money will go towards the Methodist Church, and the other half will go to the MGN. Please remember that there is limited parking in this lot, and it will be first-come, first-served. Once it is full all remaining attendees will need to park in the garage. Parking is available in the garage adjacent to the Inn & Conference Center for $1.00 per hour. Please do not park in Lot 1 as it is designated for student parking and subject to ticketing.
