After Winning ACC Title, Terps Grab No. 1 From Soccer America

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - After receiving the No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament Monday afternoon, the Maryland men's soccer team was named Soccer America's No. 1 team in the country for only the second time in program history. The last time the Terps were ranked first in the poll was in 1999, the only other year the Terps also received a seed in the NCAA tournament.
Maryland receives a bye in the first round of the tournament as one of the top 16 teams in the field and meets the winner of the American vs. George Washington first round game. The Terps' NCAA second round game will be played on Nov. 27 at 5 p.m. on Ludwig Field.
