COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland football team returned to the Top 25 this week as the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll ranked the Terrapins 25th.
The Terps are just one spot shy of being ranked in the Associated Press poll as well as that poll unofficially ranks them 26th.
The Terrapins (7-2, 3-1 ACC) are coming off of a trouncing of North Carolina (59-7) that saw the largest margin of victory posted in the history of the series which began in 1920. Maryland has now won six straight games.
This weekend, the Terps seek a sweep of the Research Triangle schools and their first win over a ranked opponent as NC State comes to town on homecoming weekend. Game time is set for Noon (EST) and the contest will be televised on ABC on a split-national basis.
