The No. 11 Terrapin men's soccer team rounds out its regular season with two home games this week against Bucknell (Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.) and Mount St. Mary's (Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.). Maryland then travels to the ACC tournament to meet NC State in the first round on Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m. The Terps earned the No. 2 seed in the tournament with a 4-2 record this season, while the Wolfpack finished 0-6 and enters the tournament as the No. 7 seed.
Cirovski One Win Away From 150 Career Wins
Entering the game this Wedneday with Bucknell, Maryland head coach Sasho Cirovski is one win away from his 150th career win. The 2002 season marks the 10th year that Cirovski has guided the Terrapin men's soccer program, which he has piloted to a 123-74-9 record during his years in College Park. Cirovski, a 1986 graduate of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, is entering his 12th year overall and has a 149-86-15 career record.
Under Cirovski, the Terrapins have over 100 wins, a 1998 appearance in the national semifinals, and eight NCAA appearances. Maryland won the 1996 ACC Championship and has had numerous Terrapins sign professional contracts in the United States and abroad.
All-Time Series vs. Bucknell
The series with Bucknell: The Terrapins and Bison have never met on the soccer pitch before Wednesday's game.
The series with Mount St. Mary's: Maryland and the Mount have met 12 times in series history, with the Terps leading 11-1. Last time the two teams met was in 1998 when Maryland earned a 2-1 win. That game took place on Sept. 16 at Ludwig Field. The only Terp loss in the series came on Oct. 6, 1994, to when Maryland fell at the Mount, 2-1.
