
Sumed Ibrahim Named NSCAA First Team All-American: Scott Buete Earns Third Team

DALLAS, Texas - On the eve of the Terps' national semifinal appearance in Dallas on Friday, two Terrapins were named NSCAA All-Americans for their performances with the team this season. Sumed Ibrahim, who led the Terps in scoring for part of the season, was named to the NSCAA first team. Sumed is a redshirt-junior midfielder who has seven goals and six assists this year. He is currently tied for fourth all-time in Maryland history with 21 career assists.
Tied with him at the No. 4 spot on the career assists lists is fellow All-American Scott Buete. Tri-captain Buete, who also has 21 career assists, has 12 points this season off two goals and eight assists.
No. 2 seed Maryland meets No. 3 seed UCLA Friday afternoon at 5 p.m. ET live on ESPN2 in the national semifinals from Dallas, Texas. Live radio coverage will also be availiable at www.ncaa.org.
