Maryland's Women's Basketball Team Hosts Coppin State On Sunday, Dec. 15

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Terrapin women's basketball team meets Coppin State for the second of three straight home games on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. Maryland enters the game 3-4 looking to bring their record back to .500 before the Terps break for finals. Maryland's three-game homestand rounds out with UMBC on Dec. 21 at noon in the Comcast Center's auxiliary gym, due to commencement exercises in the main arena.

Maryland vs. Coppin State Series

Maryland is 7-0 all-time against Coppin State, with wins in each of the last four years. The Terps took down the Eagles last year, 84-56, at Cole Field House. All seven games of the series that dates back to the 1990-91 season have been played in College Park.

Terps' head coach Brenda Frese has never met a team from Coppin State's conference, the Mid-Eastern Athletic (MEAC).

Maryland on TV

Maryland will be on television at least four times this season as part of the ACC women's basketball television schedule. The Terps' first televised game will be the Jan. 19 game at Virginia with a start time of 1 p.m. The remainder of the Terps' television schedule follows, including two home games which will afford Maryland fans throughout ACC country a peek inside the Comcast Center.

Terps' Radio Coverage

The Terrapins will be on the air almost every game this season, including four more games that will be carried on the Terrapin Sports Network with play-by-play man Johnny Holliday, the "Voice of the Terps." The following games will be broadcast by the Terrapin Sports Network and can be found on these affiliates: WBAL 1090 AM (Baltimore), WTBO 1450 AM (Cumberland), WARK 1490 AM (Hagerstown), WMSG 1050 AM (Oakland), WTDK 107.1 FM (Cambridge/Easton), WQMR 101.1 FM (Ocean City), WTGM 960 AM (Salisbury), and WMAL 630 AM (Washington, D.C. -for the NC State game only).

WMUC Broadcasts

WMUC, the student station for the University of Maryland, will carry the bulk of the Terps' on-air games. Maryland games, road and home, that are broadcast by WMUC can either be heard on 88.1 FM as well as on the web at www.wmuc.com and/or www.wmucsports.com. The schedule for those games is as follows:
