COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Maryland head coach Dave Cottle announced the Terps' scrimmage against Syracuse will be played at Byrd Stadium, rather than the Artificial Turf Facility, this Saturday, Feb. 16, at noon.
The match-up will be the final preseason game for the No. 6 Terps and will provide the stiffest test as the Orange come to College Park ranked No. 2 in the preseason polls. Maryland defeated No. 7 Georgetown, 9-3 in their first scrimmage and Division III power Washington College, 12-7, last weekend.
The Terps open the 2002 regular-season against Hobart on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. That game will be played at the Artificial Turf Facility.
