Women's Basketball To Face Wake Forest In ACC First Round

Upon conclusion of the ACC women's basketball regular season Monday night, pairings for the 2002 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament which begins in Greensboro, N.C., on Friday were announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference. Maryland will enter the tournament as the No. 8 seed and faces No. 7 seed Wake Forest on Friday night, March 1, at 6 p.m. The Terps and Deacons split the season series and just met in the regular season closer for both teams on Sunday, Feb. 24, in Winston-Salem.
