
No. 6 Wake Forest Takes Its Second Straight From Maryland Baseball, 18-6

WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- Nick Blue and Adam Bourassa each had four hits as the sixth-ranked Wake Forest baseball team handed visiting Maryland an 18-6 loss on Saturday at Hooks Stadium.
As they did on Friday, the Deacons (32-6, 13-3 ACC) benefited from the big inning. Wake Forest put up eight runs in the second inning, highlighted by back-to-back home runs by Ryan Johnson and Jamie D'Antona.
Johnson finished the day with five RBI and three runs scored. D'Antona was 1-for-4 with four RBI, adding to his team-high total of 58. Every Deacon that played the field on Saturday scored a run.
Seth Hill got the win for the Deacons on the mound, improving to 3-0. He tossed seven innings, allowing five runs with five strikeouts. Brad Stuart dropped to 4-2 on the season for Maryland (24-16, 2-12 ACC) after four innings of work, yielding 11 runs on ten hits and three walks.
Freshman Will Frazier (Mitchellville, Md.) finished 2-for-4 with his sixth home run of the season for the Terps while sophomore Anthony Buffone (Manalapan, N.J.) slammed his fifth homer of the year in the loss.
The Deacons look for the sweep on Sunday at Hooks Stadium when Ryan Braun makes his second start of the season. First pitch is at 1:30 p.m.
