College Park, Md. - Former University of Maryland men's soccer player Taylor Twellman (New England) scored his first career goal in Major League Soccer on Saturday in Columbus. Twellman's game winning goal helped the Revolution record their first win of the season, increasing their record to 1-2-0. The Revolution win over the Crew marked the first since the July match-up in 1996. Twellman recorded two shots on the day capitalizing on one.
Terrapin alumni's Danny Califf (Los Angeles) and Leo Cullen (New England) have started for their respective teams in each game this season. Califf has registered one shot in the four games played this season, while Cullen has recorded one block in his three games played this season. Califf is awaiting word on whether he will be named to the World Cup team, which will be announced on April 22 at 6 p.m.
