COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Due to a conflict with the Baltimore Orioles, University of Maryland's football season opener Saturday night will be carried in the Baltimore area on 98 Rock (WIYY, 97.9-FM) instead of WBAL (1090-AM).
WBAL will carry the pre-game show from 7:30 p.m.-8 p.m. before coverage shifts to its sister station, 98 Rock.
Calling the action on Maryland's nine-station network will be long-time announcer Johnny Holliday, who is beginning his 24th season as voice of the Terps. Former Terp player Jonathan Claiborne will handle color analysis, and Tim Strachan will provide commentary from the sidelines.
