Football Parking Lot Information

College Park, Md - Terrapin tailgaters should plan to arrive earlier at College Park this season, as all campus parking lots will open 6 hours prior to kickoff (except in the case of the Oct. 17 Georgia Tech game, when lots open 4 hours prior to kickoff), rather than 4 hours prior as in past seasons.
Please note that kickoff times are subject to change and could impact the opening time of parking lots. Call (301) 314-TIME or click on the "What Time is Game Time" button at www.umterps.com each week for confirmed kickoff times.
The scheduled kickoff times and parking lot opening times for 2002 Maryland Football home games are as follows:

The success of the initiative to open lots 6 hours before game time will be evaluated at the conclusion of the home schedule. A noticeable rise in alcohol-related incidents will damage the opportunity to continue lot openings 6 hours prior to kickoff. The additional costs incurred by athletics will minimally be $2,500 per game for 7 home games to provide this service.
