Recap| Final Stats| Quotes| Photo Gallery

* The University of Maryland football team improved its record to 2-2 (0-1 ACC) in tonight's 45-3 win over Eastern Michigan. The Eagles drop to 1-3 (0-1 MAC) with the loss.

* Maryland now leads the all-time series 2-0. Eastern Michigan has failed to score a touchdown in either contest, managing only a field goal in each game.

* The Terps outscored Eastern Michigan 31-0 in the first half of tonight's game, the second-straight season it has shut out the Eagles in the opening half. In the first two quarters of this year and last year's game combined, the Terrapins have outscored EMU 58-0.

* With 351 total yards in the first half, Maryland surpassed its highest yardage output in any game this season before the second half had even started.

* The Terps gained 568 yards of total offense, marking the first time since last season's game against Troy State that offense totaled over 500 yards. It was also the first time since they played Duke last season that the Terps amassed 300 yards of passing offense.

* Domonique Foxworth's second quarter interception stopped an EMU drive inside the 10-yard line and was the sophomore's first career pick.

* By the end of the first half, Scott McBrien had posted the best passing performance of his career. In one half of work, the junior completed 12-of-17 passes for 266 yards, a pair of touchdowns and no interceptions. The 266 yards surpasses his previous best of 252 yards set when he was at West Virginia (vs. Notre Dame).

* McBrien's quarterback rating was 240.9 in the first half and his final QB rating for the game was 258.4.

* McBrien finished the night with career-highs in passing yardage (300) and passing TDs (3). His three passing touchdowns each went to players notching their first career receiving TDs (Steve Suter, Mario Merrills and Latrez Harrison). He was also the first Terp quarterback since Brian Cummings in 1997 to pass for three TDs in a game.

* Scott McBrien's 91-yard touchdown pass to Steve Suter in the second quarter marked the second longest touchdown reception in Maryland history. The strike was one-yard shy of Ed Bolton's 92-yard reception from Stan Lavine versus South Carolina in 1949.

* The touchdown was the first career receiving TD for Steve Suter and came on the heels of an 82-yard touchdown reception by Scooter Monroe which was called back (holding) on the previous play.

* With WR Danny Melendez and TB Josh Allen seeing action in tonight's game, Maryland has now had seven true freshmen play this season, two more than saw action all of last year.

* By not starting tonight, senior Todd Wike had his string of consecutive regular season starts snapped. Wike -- who also missed the Orange Bowl -- had started in 35-straight regular season games prior to tonight.

* Tonight's attendance was 46,098. In three home games to date this season, Maryland has averaged 48,638 fans per contest.
