Jan. 21, 2003

  • The University of Maryland women's gymnastics team will open up its home season against Temple on Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. The Terps and the Owls will square off in the small gym at the Comcast Center, Maryland's new home facility. Admission to all home meets is free.

  • Also returning for the Owls is sophomore Erin Davis, the 2002 Atlantic-10 Rookie of the Year.

  • The bars will be Temple's stronger events; Hillman recorded a team-high 9.700 at the George Washington Invitational. Temple finished sixth at the GW Invitational, with a score of 185.675 on Jan. 16. Warrington finished the day with an all-around score of 37.675.

  • Before coming to College Park, the Owls will travel to McGonigle Hall to face Rutgers on Jan. 22.
