
Nelligan Adds Kayla Shaw to Maryland’s 2027 Roster

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- The Maryland gymnastics program has welcomed Kayla Shaw, another experienced transfer from Bowling Green State University, as Head Coach Brett Nelligan announced Saturday, adding depth and talent to the Terps' 2027 roster.
"We're thrilled to welcome Kayla to the Maryland Gymnastics family," Nelligan said. "Kayla brings a wealth of collegiate as well as international experience. Kayla has immense raw talent and unlimited potential on all four events. "
Kayla has earned career highs of 9.825 on bars, 9.850 on beam, and 9.900 on floor during her collegiate career. In 2026, she earned All-Conference Second Team honors on floor exercise and was recognized as a WCGA Scholastic All-American and a member of the Academic All-Conference Team.
