COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Senior Todd Wike, a first team All-American by ESPN.com and a two-time first team All-ACC choice, will represent the University of Maryland in Saturday's East-West Shrine Game in San Francisco.
The 78th annual game, featuring some of the nation's top seniors, will be played at Pacific Bell Park in San Francisco. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET.
Wike, who hails from Lebanon, Pa., started 45 games over the course of his four-year career. This past season he worked mostly at center after previously playing a guard position on the offensive line.
The 6-3, 303-pound Wike earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy last spring.
Proceeds from the game benefit the nation's 22 Shriner's Hospitals for Children. To date, more than $14 million has been raised.
