Maryland and Clemson will battle it out Thursday to see which team will raise its ACC record above .500 in the early-going of the season. The Terps enter the contest 7-6 overall, with a 1-1 conference record including a loss to NC State and an outstanding 71-63 win over Georgia Tech on Sunday. Clemson is 9-4, 1-1 in the ACC, and fresh off a 16-point loss to No. 1 Duke on Monday night. To open the conference season, Clemson eeked-out a one-point win at Virginia. The game at Maryland is Clemson's third consecutive road game. Audio of Thursday's game will be available over the Internet at www.wmucsports.com. The Terrapins meet Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, N.C., Sunday to continue the conference slate. That game will be held in the Lawrence Joel Memorial Coliseum Annex and can be heard live on 88.1 FM WMUC in College Park as well as live over the Internet at either www.wmucsports.com or www.wmuc.com.

The Maryland/Clemson Series

Maryland leads Clemson 28-20 in the all-time series, winning four out of the last 10 meetings, including three of the last four. Maryland and Clemson split last year, with the Terps winning at Cole Field House 70-59 before dropping a 67-47 decision in Clemson, S.C. Senior Renneika Razor (New York, N.Y.) has averaged 10.3 ppg versus the Tigers during her career, the most of any returning Terp.

Razor Climbs Maryland All-Time Steals List

Senior Renneika Razor continues to climb the career charts for steals this season, averaging 3.8 per game. That mark is second in the ACC only to returning ACC Player of the Year Alana Beard from Duke. Razor has tied her career-high of seven steals twice this season, once against Georgia Tech and once against Miami and is currently eighth on Maryland's all-time list in that category with 210.

Oliver Bursts on the Scene

2002 AP National Coach of the Year Brenda Frese added her first recruit to the Terrapin roster this summer in 6-3 junior college transfer Delvona Oliver (Euclid, Ohio). Oliver, a center from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College, has now met all of her requirements and was eligible for the first time this season for the Gatorade Holilday Classic. She wasted no time making the impact her coaches said she would, averaging 15.7 ppg in her first three outings, narrowly missing a double-double against Cleveland State with 16 points and nine rebounds and again at NC State with 19 points and nine rebounds. Oliver earned all-tournament recognition for her tournament performance at Miami. She is now posting 14.3 points per game and grabbing a team-high 8.5 rebounds per game.

Oliver earned second-team All-America recognition from the National Junior College Athletic Association and averaged 18.1 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game in the 2000-01 season. She earned most valuable player honors at the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference postseason tournament.

Maryland on TV

Maryland will be on television at least four times this season as part of the ACC women's basketball television schedule. The Terps' first televised game will be the Jan. 19 game at Virginia with a start time of 1 p.m. The remainder of the Terps' television schedule follows, including two home games which will afford Maryland fans throughout ACC country to take a peek inside the Comcast Center.

The Terrapins will be on the air almost every game this season, including five games that will be carried on the Terrapin Sports Network with play-by-play man Johnny Holliday, the "Voice of the Terps."
