The Terps (11-1) are coming off a 4-0 win over UConn on Sunday. With starters Abe Thompson and Clarence Goodson on the bench, the Terps got two goals from Jason Garey and one score from Nino Marcantonio and Erwin Diaz to lead Maryland to victory. The defense limited UConn to just six shots en route to its eighth shutout of the season.
Penn State (6-5) is in the midst of a two-match losing streak having fallen to Wisconsin and Ohio State.
The Nittanly Lions lead the all-time series with Maryland 17-15, but dropped a 2-1 decision to the Terps in 2002.
