Yow Named to USA Football Board

VIENNA, Va. - University of Maryland director of athletics Deborah A. Yow has been named an inaugural member of the Board of Directors for USA Football, the organization announced recently.
USA Football is the first national advocacy group representing all levels of amateur football and promoting football's invaluable lessons.
Jack Kemp, former Congressman and quarterback who led the Buffalo Bills to the 1964 and 1965 American Football League Championship, serves as Chairman. Paul Tagliabue, National Football League (NFL) Commissioner, and Gene Upshaw, Executive Director of the NFL Players Association are ex-officio members of the Board.
"Our inaugural Board represents a cross-section of football and of America," said Dave Ogrean, USA Football's Executive Director. "Their knowledge and background will be an invaluable resource as we chart a course to have maximum benefit to the sport and to society."

It is the first national advocacy group to promote youth and amateur football and its invaluable lessons for all boys and girls. USA Football has been endowed by the NFL Youth Football Fund, a foundation formed by the NFL and NFLPA to provide support for organizations involved in youth and high school football.
