CLEMSON, S.C. - The second-ranked Maryland men's soccer team (13-1, 3-1) will face Clemson (6-5-2, 2-2) Sunday afternoon in Clemson, S.C. The Terrapins have won four in a row and have only allowed six goals on the season. The Tigers are coming off a victory on Wednesday, a 1-0 decision over Appalachian State.
In Maryland's last outing, the Terps defeated Penn, 2-1. Sophomores Jason Garey and Chris Lancos scored second-half goals to lead the team to victory.
Clemson owns more victories over Maryland than any other school that the Terrapins have faced, leading the series 27-13-1. However, Maryland swept the two meetings last season, including a 4-3 overtime victory in the ACC semifinals. That match marked the last time that the Terps surrendered three goals in a game (11/15/02).
